The 18 FSSC 22000 V7 Additional Requirements, and the Course That Covers Every One
Most audit findings do not come from ISO 22000. They come from the layer on top: the FSSC additional requirements, eighteen clauses that many teams only discover properly at audit time. This 8-hour course walks through all of them, clause by clause, with a certificate at the end.
What are the additional requirements, and why do they matter so much?
FSSC 22000 is ISO 22000 plus a prerequisite programme specification plus a set of scheme-specific additional requirements. That third layer, clauses 2.5.1 to 2.5.18 in Version 7, is where FSSC audits differ most from a plain ISO 22000 audit, and where teams trained only on ISO 22000 walk into interviews unprepared. Food defence plans get sampled. Food fraud assessments get questioned. Culture plans get measured against evidence. If your site is certified or certifying under Version 7, this layer is not optional reading; it is the exam.
All 18 requirements the course covers

How the course works
- 18 focused lessons, one per requirement, in text, audio and video, plus knowledge tests, a course assignment with feedback, and a final assessment.
- Self-paced and mobile friendly: complete it in a focused week or spread it across a month; enrolment validity is lifetime.
- Certificate of completion to file as competence evidence for exactly the clauses your auditor will probe.
- Practitioner-taught: built by Mthokozisi Nkosi, lead auditor, trainer and consultant, so each clause comes with the questions auditors actually ask about it.
- Prerequisite: a good understanding of basic food safety and GMP. New to the scheme entirely? Start with the Introduction course first.
