Food Safety and Quality Culture for Food Handlers
About Course
The food safety course your staff will finish, and still remember on the floor.
Most food safety training is a slideshow people click through to get the certificate. This one was built the other way round. Twenty short lessons, five short animated videos, twelve timed games and quizzes, real South African factory, packhouse, kitchen and shop situations, and honest answers to the questions staff really ask: “What happens if I say something?”, “Why does the auditor talk to me?”, “Does what I do at my station really matter?”
By the end, each learner can name the four hazards at their own workstation, explain food safety, quality, QA and QC in their own words, answer an auditor with confidence, and speak up when something is wrong. That is what food safety culture looks like on the floor, and it is exactly what FSSC 22000, BRCGS and your customers now ask you to prove.
For employers and QA managers
- Audit evidence, per person. FSSC 22000 Version 7 (additional requirement 2.5.8, which now asks for a demonstrable commitment from all personnel) and BRCGS Food Issue 9 (clause 1.1.2, inside fundamental section 1.1) require a food safety and quality culture plan and proof that staff understand their role in it. Every learner gets a Certificate of Achievement with QR verification and a workplace observation form their supervisor signs off. File both in your culture plan.
- No lost production day. About four hours in total, done in short pieces on any phone. Staff can do it during quiet time, on the bus or at home.
- Staff who speak up. Module 3 is built around the near miss, the honest record and the worker who says something before the auditor or the customer finds it.
- Written by an auditor. Mthokozisi Nkosi, ASC’s founder and an FSSC 22000 and BRCGS lead auditor, built this course around the questions auditors actually put to your staff.
- Teams of five or more: contact us for a team rate and one invoice.
